MR. KEITH R. PAGEL, FCI EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Internationally published author
on fifty-caliber ammunition design & development.
Consultant to both the law enforcement and defense
communities.
Mr. Pagel is one of the founding members of the Fifty
Caliber Institute (FCI) and has served continuously on
the Board of Directors since 2000 and now serves as the
Executive Director.
Mr. Pagel is a member of the International Ammunition
Association, National Crypto logic Museum Foundation,
and the Ohio Gun Collectors Association. He is an associate member, of the Smithsonian
National Air & Space Museum and a Life Member, National Defense Industrial Association. In
2001, Mr. Pagel was elected to be included in the International Who’s Who of Information
Technology.
Mr. Pagel earned his Master’s Certificate in Project Management in the School of Business &
Public Management at George Washington University. He has been a student of ammunition &
ballistics history, and has been directly involved in research, & development for over 25 years.
Mr. Pagel has served as a Staff Columnist, Contributing Editor and has recently accepted the
position as Editor for the international shooting periodical “Very High Power" magazine. He is a
two-time winner of "Very High Power" magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award (1992, 1993) and
winner of "Very High Power" magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award (2001). His work has also
appeared in the Journal of the International Ammunition Association.
Mr. Pagel has contributed to numerous books, web sites, and other magazines on the subject of
precision shooting and ammunition. He is also a private consultant to federal, state, and local
law enforcement, private industry, and US military agencies on ammunition issues (ballistics,
history, research, and development).
